I am trying to install Windows XP on Acer d270 which comes with Windows 7 starter, but I cannot seem to install it. I have the mode set to IDE and the installation starts, but then it gets stuck at the "registering components" stage. Someone who has installed Windows XP successfully, please share your methods!
